INTRODUCTION

Hello! We’re Melissa and Andrew!

Wow, we cannot believe we are finally writing to you!

The fact that you are here reading this shows such incredible strength and love that you have for your child. We have always felt strongly about adoption as adoption has already woven itself into our family’s story and made such an impact in each of our lives.

The best way to describe us is complete opposites that somehow just make perfect sense haha. One of us (Melissa) is loud, outgoing, entertaining, and funny and the other (Andrew) is reserved, kind, goofy, and calm. Your child would truly have the best of both worlds!

It’s so hard to capture all of what makes us who we are in a short profile, but we hope that you can see our personalities shine through and most importantly the abundance of unconditional love we will provide for your child! We can’t wait for you to get to know even more about us and we hope to learn more about you as well!

OUR STORY

We met through Andrew’s brother from an act of fate.

Andrew’s brother worked with Melissa and told Melissa that Andrew wanted to meet her so she sent Andrew a facebook friend request even though the truth was Andrew had no idea who Melissa was. Andrew must have thought she was cute or something because he sent a message back saying “hello” and the rest is history.

When we met we were instant best friends. It was easy to just be ourselves. We were long distance at the time, but we would spend hours facetiming and watching movies by pressing play on Netflix at the same time while video chatting. Eventually Andrew moved closer and we started our life together. Shortly after we were engaged and married. Both us and our families knew quickly into our relationship that we were in it for the long haul.

our FAVORITE SEASONAL ACTIVITES

We live in a part of the country that has seasons so we definitely have seasonal favorites!

SUMMER - One of the auntie’s has a pool nearby so we love to spend summers with cousins at the pool! We also have family cabins up north so we love to spend long weekends there. All of the uncles have boats (no we are not making this up haha) so we love to have “boat days” where we meet up at a lake with the cousins, anchor out, and let the kids swim with floaties! We can’t wait to spend summer days at the pool and on the boat with baby!

FALL - We love apple orchards, pumpkin patches, football Sunday’s (this is a must in our house), fall sports for the nieces and nephews, and crisp walks!

WINTER - They can get pretty cold, but we do our best to make the most of them! We have lots of sledding hills, our family has a cabin with snowmobiles, and we absolutely love decorating for the Holidays! We always wear matching Christmas pajamas (dog included) and we can’t wait to have baby join in on the traditions!

We recently moved into our dream home and cannot wait for a baby to grow up here!

Almost 2 years ago we drove by a neighborhood. It was a new development surrounded by farms and in an up and coming area with a great school system and filled with lots of families and young children! We began dreaming of our home and the family that we could build there!

Fast forward to this past October and we moved into our dream home in that neighborhood! We have young families and kids in almost every house and we can’t wait for our children to grow up with so many friends around them! We even have Melissa’s childhood best friend 12 houses down. Our neighbors have trampolines, bouncey houses, and we are right across from the neighborhood park!

In the house, we have a fun loft area upstairs for a playroom, and it can be converted into a study area as they get older and are in school! One of our favorite parts of our home is our deck and our backyard! We can’t wait to have family dinners and bonfires!

Being parents is something we have desired for so long.

We are grateful to have crossed your path so far! 

We can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is to go through these profiles and make such a life changing decision for you and your baby. We are sure it is so hard to know from a few pages and photographs who someone really is no matter how hard they try. If there is one thing we can leave you with it’s that any family who has made it to this point will be so loving and grateful for the gift you are able to give to them. When you make your decision our hope for you is that whoever you choose you feel a sense of peace.

As people have told us many times on our journey to parenthood, “you’re stronger than you even know”. We’ve had our doubts on believing that sometimes, but yet here we all are! We want to say the same thing to you, “You are stronger than you even know!” We hope you know and believe that too!
