INTRODUCTION

Hi! We’re Bradlee and Patrick from North Carolina!

We admire you for considering adoption and respect you for your strength and selflessness. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us.

We are a loving couple hoping to become parents through the gift of adoption. We remain ever hopeful that we will be blessed with a child to share our lives with. We have a wonderful life together and look forward to providing a safe home full of love, laughter, and adventure. Through our experience of adoption firsthand through family and friends, we knew that adoption would be a part of our journey. We are beyond excited and confident that this is exactly where we’re supposed to be. We picture the day that a child is placed in our arms and the instant love we will feel. We know that every step we have had to take will be so worth it.

about us

We met at a golf tournament nine years ago. Bradlee (she) asked Patrick (him) to take a walk, and we have been inseparable ever since.

Bradlee is a physician, and Patrick a real estate broker, investor and business owner. We are very different in so many ways and believe that to be the best part of our secret sauce. While we take great pride and joy in our jobs, we love our life! We are super active people with a curiosity for seeing new places and trying new things. We love to travel and to learn about different cultures, meet new people, and expand our perspectives, beliefs, and knowledge of the world. Despite previous struggles with fertility, we always knew that adoption was to be a part of our story. 

We believe that family is about love and acceptance, not genetics. All children need a safe home where they can be loved, nurtured and provided the opportunity to prosper and become. We cannot wait to provide this and believe this to be part of our calling and journey.

our hobbies

We are active people and embrace the importance of moments.

We love soaking up the outdoors, the sun and, when possible, prefer to be on or near the water. Be it hiking, fishing, scuba diving/snorkeling, camping or grilling out in our backyard, we like to be out. 

We feel it is important to give back to our community. We are active participants in several of our local non-profit and charitable organizations.

We love travel and to experience new people, places and things. Some of our favorite places, and in no particular order: Costa Rica, Spain, Greece, Amsterdam and those yet to be discovered. We truly look forward to sharing this with our children and seeing how the beauty of the world impacts them and the ripples that follow! Bradlee wants to travel to Southern Africa to experience the animal life there, whilst Patrick has developed a fascination for South east Asia. We will embrace every moment of the adventures to come, making better humans along the way! 

our home and families

We live in a medium sized city in the south east.

We love our neighborhood and appreciate its diversity. Our city is proud of its trees and outdoor spaces.  Just down the street is a large park for children to run and play. 

Our quaint 1930’s bungalow was almost torn down until we decided to buy and renovate it. In truth, we are only just transitioning from a ten year stretch in a one bedroom condo to our newly renovated four bedroom, three bath home. Though situated in an urban locale, we have a great and private yard, in an established neighborhood, facing a wide avenue great for bike rides and evening strolls. We also chose this home because the neighborhood is in the top school district in the city. One day we hope to have a lake house nearby where we can take our child for weekends filled with outdoor activities and bonfires!

This is our village

We both come from large families who live close to us.

We see them as often as we’re all able, several times a year (at least) for holidays and/or group activities.  The majority of our combined families live within three to four hours which allows us to visit with each other frequently.  Patrick has two brothers who live in town; one of two sisters live within forty-five minutes.  They are very much into hiking and fishing, and the great outdoors in general.
